This
online version of Basics which comprises of; Workplace
Communication Skills II, Workplace Readiness II and Entrepreneurship II, has been designed and developed to support the
implementation of Competency-Based Education and training (CBET) curricula in
Kenya. It has been developed by GFA Consulting Group GmbH which was contracted
to implement Component 1 (ATVET and Extension Component) of the Youth
Employment in the Agri-Food Sector in Western Kenya (YEA) Project. YEA is one
of the constitute projects of Agri-Jobs 4 Youth Initiative
which is implemented by the German development agency Deutsche
Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and
commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and
Development (BMZ). The initiative is implemented in partnership with the Kenyan
Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives (MoALFC).
We
recognise the critical role of national and international consultants in the
list of contributors below, for the technical inputs in the preparation of this
course, establishing Moodle Learning Management System, implementing the
developed course on Moodle LMS and training users how to use the Moodle LMS.
Special
gratitude goes to TVET CDACC for providing both technical and policy inputs
including the Occupational Standards and CBET curriculum under which the
courses area aligned
